Celebrating the exhibition opening: Chukwu Di Mma.

It was an amazing evening at the Amy Kaslow Gallery. People came an hour early and had to wait until the doors were opened to the public! The gallery was gracious to allow such an overflow of people to fill their beautiful gallery space in the fun part of Bethesda (I could have a million exclamation marks talking about yesterday’s opening, but I will try to control myself!)

There were friends from my childhood, there was family. Also, I had my friends from the Torpedo Factory have turned to family ( as that is the only way people can be around me!)

Amy Kaslow was also there with her team! I won’t do a good job calling them all by name! Amy and her curator, Jordan, chose the title for the exhibition. That title became a magnet, drawing people to the exhibition. Some visitors came out of curiosity when they saw the advert online. People felt a connection to the Igbo word Chukwudinma. It means God is good. Indeed, the show is a celebration of the goodness of God. One of the paintings in the center of the gallery is called Celebrations! Hey, I got to stop. I must thank all of you who came and those who couldn’t make it for some reason. I also love you who joined me in spirit- to you who held me up in prayers, and to you who have supported me all these 26 years of creating Art. The exhibition is dedicated to everyone from the Motherland to America and the rest of the world. I will light the world some more.
